John Hass
Partner / Managing Director of Business Development and Shared Services
Mr. Hass is currently the managing director of the business development and shared services group, which includes: mergers and acquisitions, finance, operations, human resources, compliance, and legal affairs. Mr. Hass joined PEAK6 in 2006 as the co-chief executive officer and then chief executive officer of OptionsHouse. He was previously a partner at Goldman Sachs, where he primarily focused on the coverage of financial institutions, including companies in the brokerage space. Mr. Hass is a member of the board of directors of Platinum Underwriters Holdings.
Mr. Hass received his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Illinois.

Mr. Hass loves the visual, he collects photography and serves on the boards of the Museum of Contemporary Photography and WITNESS, which provides video equipment and training to human rights groups. His favorite photographer of the moment is Sze Tsung.
